The glory of Spring Florals grown here in Victoria is something to behold. This workshop is a celebration of "once a year" florals such as lilac, snowball and blossom where nature's decadence invites romantic, large scale designs with ease.
This immersive experience is in person at our St Kilda Studio where you will learn the art of creating an exquisite arrangement using fresh seasonal flowers and foliage.
Only 7 places will be available to ensure an intimate and joyous experience with support available throughout the class.
Hosted by our Director and Senior Floral Designer, the class will include:
- A theory session to assist your learning "The Art of Cohesive Design by Bess"
- "Mechanics Revealed" - You'll learn how to build the base for a large scale design
- Demonstration of how create a balanced large scale arrangement
- Time to create your own masterpieces with all florals, foliages, vases and material provided
At the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to take your creation home - vase, mechanics and all so you can continue to create beautiful designs at home.

Bouquets will be wrapped 15-30 minutes prior to their departure either for delivery or click and collect. We will ensure that these are wet packed with enough hydration for up to two hours. Flowers will be affected if they are not unwrapped and cared for per supplied instructions within in this timeframe for which Amalfi is not responsible. Flowers left in wrap without being placed in a vase will wilt quickly and we strongly advise this is not ideal.
We’ve gone to great lengths to find the best varieties and suppliers for all our of our flowers, carefully managing our on hand quantities and utilising a specially designed cool fridge to properly hold any stock.

Flowers are perishable and a flowers life span is dependent on the variety, season, environment and care, resulting in varied life spans for different flowers.
Flower availability is dependent on seasonality, customs processes for imported goods and market availability.
By accepting these terms and conditions you acknowledge there may be material differences between images and produced goods.
All bouquets are photographed before leaving the studio and inspected by our delivery team prior to hand over.
Flowers will last 3-7 days provided they are cared for correctly and not adversely affected by the temperature, humidity and sunlight exposure of where they are kept by the recipient.

To ensure your flowers last for long as possible:
1. Your bouquet should be unwrapped and cared for per instructions enclosed immediately upon delivery.
2. Recipient is advised that once unwrapped, stems should be cut on an angle (in or under running water if possible) as soon as you receive the flowers and placed into a vase full of fresh water to rehydrated them after time out of water for delivery.
3. Keep the flowers out of direct sunlight and minimise exposure to heaters and draughts.
4. Ensure the vase used is throughly cleaned with plenty of fresh water. All stems should be a minimum of 3cm submerged below the waterline.
Same delivery is available for orders placed before 3pm on weekdays and 12pm on Saturdays.
Amalfi Floral Design St Kilda operates Monday - Friday between 8am - 6pm and Saturdays 8am - 12pm on an as needs basis, managed at our discretion based on order volumes.
Deliveries are made between 12pm - 6pm on weekdays and 11am-3pm on Saturdays with locations closest to our studio serviced first, and priority given to deliveries to workplaces and retail spaces where recipients are expected to depart by close of business.
Delivery prices range between $20-$60 depending on the km distance form our St Kilda studio.
